TETRA Technologies Inc. and its affiliates (“TETRA,” the “Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”) respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy describes (a) the types of personal information that we may collect from you or that you may voluntarily provide to us when you visit the website www.onetetra.com (the “Site”) and (b) our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

Personal Information We Collect and How We Collect It

Technologies that We Use for Automatic Data Collection

  • Cookies” (or browser cookies):  In this policy, we use the term “cookies” to refer to cookies and similar technologies covered by the EU Directive on privacy in electronic communication.  Cookies are small pieces of identifying information placed and stored on the hard drive of your computer by our server.  These cookies enable our system to more readily “recognize” your computer or mobile device when you visit our Site in order to more efficiently provide service.  For example, we may use cookies in order to customize the display to suit your interests, to note your interests while visiting the Site, and to store information (e.g., for tracking and targeting purposes).
  • Web Beacons: Some parts of the Site may contain web beacons (also known as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifts), which are small electronic files that permit the Company, for example, to count users who have visited those parts of the Site and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity).

Sensitive Personal Information

We do not knowingly collect sensitive Personal Information (such as social security numbers, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, biometrics, genetic characteristics, criminal background, trade union membership, etc.) from you via the Site.  Please do not provide any such sensitive Personal Information to us on or through the Site.


We take children’s privacy seriously and we are committed to complying with applicable laws and requirements, such as the United States’ Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA).  The Site is not intended for children under the age of 18.  We encourage all parents and guardians to instruct their children in the safe and responsible use of Personal Information on the Internet.

Our products and services are not directed to underaged individuals and we do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose to third parties any Personal Information collected from children under the age of 18.  If you are under the age of 18, do not provide any information on the Site or other associated websites (including your name, address, telephone number, or email address).  If we learn that we have collected or received Personal Information from a child under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. How and When We Share Your Personal Information

We may transfer or disclose Personal Information that we collect or that you provide to us as described in this Privacy Policy:

  • To our subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, employees, and business partners.
  • To our contractors, vendors, and suppliers for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. TETRA does not sell Personal Information to third-parties, including the Personal Information of minors under 16 years of age.

Protection and Retention of Your Personal Information

We implement physical, technical, and organizational security measures designed to secure and maintain the integrity and confidentiality of your Personal Information. While no security measure can guarantee against accidental loss or compromise, we evaluate and update these measures on a regular basis in an effort to provide appropriate security for all information held by us.

TETRA will not retain your information longer than is necessary and permitted in light of the purpose(s) for which it was obtained.  The criteria used to determine our retention periods include without limitation (a) the length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you; (b) whether there is a legal obligation to which we are subject; or (c) whether retention is advisable in light of our legal position (such as with regard to applicable statutes of limitations, litigation, or regulatory investigations).

International Data Transfer

Your Personal Information may be transferred to, stored, and/or processed in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers.  By using the Site, you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence (including the United States), which may have data protection rules that are different from those of your country.  Your Personal Information also may be available to the government of those countries under a lawful order made in those countries.

Changes to Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically and without prior notice to you.
